Why Sports Interaction holds personal data
A betting account is not a throwaway email list. The platform has to know you are an adult, pay the right person, and keep a record that Canadian regulators can test. That requires personal information.
Data a Canadian account usually contains
Profile
Legal name, date of birth, Canadian address, email, mobile number, login credentials.
KYC file
Photos of a provincial license or passport, address proof, liveness checks, and source-of-funds answers when the risk team asks.
Money file
Masked card digits, Interac identifiers, wallet IDs, CAD deposit and withdrawal history, chargebacks.
Play file
Tickets, stakes, odds, settlements, casino rounds, bonus trackers, limit changes.
Device file
IP address, app version, browser, device type, geolocation events, failed logins.

Lawful reasons, said simply
Canadian privacy law talks about consent, appropriate purposes and, in some statutes, comparable ideas to contract and legal duty. In the account that usually means:
- You asked for a betting account, so the site needs the data to run it
- Age, crime and complaint records are not optional extras
- Marketing and some cookies wait for a choice
- Security logging exists to protect the wallet, not to decorate a dashboard

Who else sees the file
Payment companies, identity vendors, cloud hosts, game studios, live-dealer studios, service desks and, when the law requires it, authorities. A slot studio should get a session token, not your driving license. If a partner only needs a payment token, that is all it should get.
Data leaving the province
A Canadian account can still be processed on servers or by vendors outside your province. The full Privacy Policy should say how those transfers are protected. You will not see that clause on a puck-line slip.
How long data stays
Closing the app does not erase the file. Gambling and payment records are kept for a set period because regulators, banks and dispute bodies expect a trail. After that window, deletion or irreversible anonymization should follow.
Security on both sides
Expect encryption in transit and access control inside the company. Also use a unique password, a locked phone and no shared logins at a shop computer. A strong site cannot save a password you reused from a shopping account.

Clearing cookies is not closing the account
Delete cookies and you will probably need to log in again. The CAD balance still sits on the server. Third-party frames for Interac, cards and live dealers may set their own cookies. If a live table dies after you block everything, allow that studio’s functional cookies instead of opening the entire internet.
Betting Rules
Why house rules beat the broadcast
The Betting Rules decide a postponed Stampeders game, a late NHL scratch, a shortened baseball card and a tennis retirement. The scoreboard on TV is not the settlement manual.
When a bet becomes a bet
A slip in draft is not live. A ticket with an ID is live. If the price moves first, you may see a re-offer. Take it or walk away. The desk can also refuse a stake, cap a market or shut a price because of liability, integrity flags, location or a technical fault. A refused bet should bounce the CAD back to the wallet.
Palpable errors
If a price is obviously broken against the true market, the operator can void it. That is for howlers, not for tickets you regret after a bounce-out.
Official results
Settlement follows the league or the contracted feed. If My Bets is pending twenty minutes after the horn, wait. Do not treat a Twitter graphic as the official card.
Weather, postponements and abandoned games
Canadian sport lives outdoors in bad months. CFL, baseball and some soccer cards get delayed. Common directions:
- Completed inside the rule window: settle official result
- Postponed and not played inside the window: many pre-match tickets void
- Abandoned after starting: some markets already have a result, others void
- Live tickets after a decisive official event: may stand even if the game later stops, depending on the market

Player markets
A points prop often needs the skater to start or to appear. A late scratch usually voids the prop. A player who starts and leaves injured usually settles on what was recorded. Read the “must start” line before you build a same-game slip around one winger.
Parlays with a voided leg
One voided leg normally turns a four-leg parlay into a three-leg parlay at revised odds. That can still win. It can still lose. Void is not a full refund of the coupon.
Cash Out
Cash Out buys the ticket back at a live offer. After it confirms, the original price is gone. Many Welcome Pack rules ignore cashed-out tickets. If the button fails, the original bet is still on.
Live delay
Your phone is behind the puck. Markets freeze when a goal looks likely. A ticket accepted after the fact can still be voided. Do not build a system around lucky latency.

The contract you tick
The Terms and Conditions are the contract between you and the operator of Sports Interaction. You accept the version on the site that day. Later edits follow the notice method in the document, usually a site note or email.

One person, one account
Roommates, shared cards and recycled devices get treated as one customer when the pattern is obvious. Duplicate profiles are how bonuses and withdrawals both die.
CAD in the wallet
Deposits exist to fund bets and games. This is not a savings account. There is no interest. Bonus CAD follows bonus rules. The operator can hold a withdrawal while it checks KYC, source of funds, chargebacks or integrity.
Promotions inside the contract
A Welcome Pack is an extra layer. If the promo card and a general bonus clause clash, the card usually runs that campaign and the main terms still run the account. Abuse can cancel the offer. Serious abuse can close the profile.
